Exhaust Treatment Part 1

So, I hate chrome. It's old. It's everywhere. It's got rust on it. I'm over it. I'm even over the black powder coating that I saw on all the chopper shows in my 20's. I'm into dark shades with matte finishes though so while the parts are off my bike, I'm gonna do a few things. I'm going to wrap the pipes in black exhaust tape but I didn't want to put the chrome heat shields back on top. So I found some dark gray engine paint and new that's what I wanted to do. Sanded the chrome down off of the first heat shield, hit it with Duplicolor's light gray engine paint primer first and then the final coat of Duplicolor cast iron gray engine paint. I'm beyond pyshced about how easy and quick it was and how it turned out. Can't wait to do the other one, get the pipes wrapped, and bike onto the bike!
